Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi here on Tuesday held a series of meetings with overseas Pakistani leaders and representatives, focusing on the role of the diaspora in socio-economic development, investment, and advocacy for Pakistan at international forums. The Governor held separate meetings with former Member of the European Parliament Anam Qaiser, Chairman Overseas Foundation Syed Qamar Raza, overseas community leader and Chairman Business Forum France Sardar Zahoor Iqbal, and an overseas Pakistani delegation led by businessman Mian Munir. Discussions covered overseas Pakistanis’ contributions, welfare initiatives, investment opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, women empowerment, youth engagement, and the Kashmir issue. Governor Kundi lauded the positive role of the Pakistani community in Europe, saying that overseas Pakistanis are effectively presenting Pakistan’s stance globally and strengthening the country’s image. He emphasized that overseas Pakistanis are a valuable national asset and assured full cooperation for resolving their issues and facilitating investment. During the meetings, proposals were discussed to bring a European business delegation to Peshawar and to organize investment exhibitions to promote Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s economic potential. The Governor welcomed these initiatives, terming them a positive step towards boosting economic activity in the province, and reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for overseas investors. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi further said that the government is keen to strengthen institutional linkages with overseas Pakistani organizations to ensure effective coordination and timely facilitation. He said that the experience, skills, and global exposure of overseas Pakistanis can play a vital role in sustainable development, good governance, and human resource development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and stressed the need to maintain continuous engagement with the diaspora for long-term national progress.
