Governor Kundi inaugurates South Air's Peshawar-Quetta flight service, terms it boost for connectivity

PESHAWAR, Sep 19 : Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Saturday inaugurated South Air's new flight service between Peshawar and Quetta, describing it as a significant step towards improving air connectivity, facilitating passengers and promoting economic activity in the province.

The inauguration ceremony was held here at Bacha Khan International Airport, where the Governor attended as chief guest and cut a ceremonial cake to mark the launch of the service.

South Air Chief Executive Officer Nishat Fatima, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Transport and Mass Transit Samiullah Khan, Pakistan Peoples Party KP President Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, Chairman of Pakistan Red Crescent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Farzand Wazir and President of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Junaid Altaf were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the ceremony, Governor Kundi thanked the South Air management and welcomed the launch of the Peshawar-Quetta air service.

He said the airline would soon expand its operations by launching flights to Chitral, Dera Ismail Khan and Lahore, further strengthening air links across the country.

The Governor said the new service would contribute to the national economy and improve travel connectivity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by providing better travel facilities to the people.

He added that enhanced air connectivity would also help promote trade, business and economic activities in the province.

Governor Kundi reaffirmed his commitment to playing every possible role in the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and appreciated the efforts of the South Air team for expanding aviation services in the province.
